Sound familiar
If a cap has always landed on your ears, it was never your head.
Every cap has two measurements. The girth runs around your head, and a strap adjusts it. The depth runs from the bottom edge to the top of the crown, and nothing adjusts that one. So a cap that is deeper than your head is tall has to go somewhere, and your ears are what is in the way.
Why the depth is never on the label
EN 13402-3 is the European standard for clothing sizes. For headwear it gives one number: the girth. There is no vertical head measurement in it at all, so there is nothing for a factory to pattern the depth from. We measure it, and we cut to it.

Cut from the depth
The crown is drafted a full step shallower than a standard cap, so it sits down on your head instead of standing above it. Every other choice on this cap follows from that one.

A low, rounded crown
The panels curve down close to the skull and finish above the ear, so from the side the line runs clean from brim to back. No bulge on top, no gap behind.

An engraved buckle
A flat metal buckle with the monogram engraved into it, matt black on black, sitting close to the head. It is the only piece of hardware on the cap, which is exactly why it is the one worth doing properly.

And it fits just as well the other way round.
This is the part we are most pleased with. We patterned the depth the whole way round, not only at the front — so you can turn the cap around and nothing about the fit changes.
Try that with a standard cap and it falls apart. There is no brim left to hold the front edge up, so it drops onto your ears, and the crown stands further off your head than it did before. Here the back edge lands exactly where the front one did. And the buckle is flat for a reason — worn this way, that is the part against your forehead.

The fit
What The Perfect Size means.
We make a single size, because the depth is what we pattern to and it is the one measurement nothing can adjust afterwards. The buckle takes the girth, from 55 to 62 cm.
This cap is cut for heads that standard caps sit too deep on. If a cap has always sat comfortably on your head, you do not need this one.
